Chüzan

State · 1314–1428 CE · at its largest around 1422 CE

The central kingdom of Okinawa during the Sanzan period, centred near Shuri. Under Sho Hashi it conquered its rivals Hokuzan and Nanzan, unifying the island into the Ryukyu Kingdom.

On its lands while it lasted

• Urasoe (c. 1314 CE): Capital of Chüzan (1314–1428).
• Nakijin (c. 1314 CE): Capital of Hokuzan (1314–1416).
