Rhodesia

State · 1967–1978 CE · at its largest around 1976 CE

A white-minority state in southern Africa that unilaterally declared independence from Britain in 1965 under Ian Smith. It fought a guerrilla war against African nationalists and became Zimbabwe after majority rule in 1980.
