Zimbabwe Rhodesia

A transitional state formed in 1979 under an internal settlement that brought Bishop Abel Muzorewa to power while whites kept key powers. It was not internationally recognised and gave way to brief British rule and independent Zimbabwe.

• Rhodesian Bush War (1964–1979 CE): Guerrilla war against Rhodesia's white minority government, which led to majority rule and the independence of Zimbabwe in 1980.
